GOLD Award (HoReCa)
Project: Cali Mykonos in Mykonos.
Architectural design: STFNLAB Architecture & Engineering Development
The aim of the Cali Mykonos lighting design was to achieve mild, low-scale and low-intensity lighting, with a complete absence of visual disturbance so that the overall effect would be integrated with the impressive natural landscape and the particular natural flow of the terrain. An interesting part of the project was the lighting of the 125-meter pool which is the trademark of Cali Mykonos. Two layers of lighting were chosen for the interior of the pool, one that illuminates the view and the infinity end of the pool and a continuous, flexible linear lighting system that runs the entire length of the 125 meters. In order to provide maximum flexibility in the use of multiple lighting scenarios, RGBW LEDs were used, controlled by dimmable DMX protocol, so that if and when needed the pool, apart from the white color, can be easily colored with thousands of other shades, either static or dynamic.
SILVER Award (HoReCa)
Project: ON Residence Hotel in Thessaloniki.
Architectural design: Nikos Fletoridis, Divercity Architects, Dimitris Thomopoulos Architects / Interior Design: Fabienne Spahn
The lighting of the most iconic building of Thessaloniki was an opportunity for PROLIGHT to highlight its timelessness and historical aura, while giving it a modern aesthetic. The main objective of the concept and the lighting was to maintain the special character of the restaurant Olympos Naoussa throughout the hotel and was achieved through the retro aesthetics and the unique design of the lighting fixtures that were chosen, perfectly combining the old with the new. In the restaurant, reception and business lounge of the mezzanine floor, diffused warm lighting with dimming was used mainly so that the space exudes the urban aura that has always characterized it.
SILVER Award (Commercial Space)
Project: PROTYPO Dialysis Centre in Patra
Architectural design: METE SYSTM
The lighting of this particular project was a challenge for the PROLIGHT design team as they had to combine the special lighting needs and the requirements of a medical area. The lighting of the Centre had to give the feeling of cleanliness and professionalism, without being considered "cold" or "hospital" and the atmosphere had to be welcoming, relaxing but at the same time exuding a note of formality. Linear continuous elements were selected, sometimes in a fixed step and sometimes in a more "random" pattern in the barcode logic. The extensive use of concealed lighting balances the contrasts in the spaces providing an indirect and restful lighting.
