The lighting design for the interior lighting of the building - landmark for Thessaloniki, was assigned to PROLIGHT, following an invitation to a relevant competition. The main objective of  PROLIGHT was to highlight the timelessness and historical aura of such an iconic building while simultaneously giving it a modern aesthetic. The complexity of this project, as it is a complete reconstruction and restoration of a protected monument, with the addition of additional floors and the need to integrate the functional, and not only, requirements of a modern hotel, in combination with the numerous team of specialist architects, were the main challenges for the PROLIGHT team. PROLIGHT's expertise, knowledge and experience in lighting luxury hotels and historical monuments have managed to highlight the aesthetics of another era by harmoniously combining it with the needs of today.

PROLIGHT's award-winning Lighting Studies Department with 40 years of experience in the field of architectural lighting, collaborated intensively with the design team of Grivalia Hospitality and TOR Hotel Group, specifically with the architectural firm Nikos Fletoridis & Associates and Interior Designer Fabienne Spahn to achieve a premium and impressive result, within budget and schedule. In this specific project, harnessed the "Design & Supply" service that provided by PROLIGHT, with which the customer, in addition to the lighting design services, chooses also the supplier company of the lighting fixtures. The company's exclusive collaborations with worldwide leading brands, its specialization, knowledge and experience in the lighting of luxury hotels and historical monuments managed to achieve a technically perfect and aesthetically harmonious lighting effect within the time schedule and budget as appropriates in high-demand projects.
